Is T20 Cricket killing Real Cricketing Skills? – Group Discussion

Today Group Discussion topic was “Is T20 Cricket killing Real Cricketing Skills?”
I want to speak against the notion. In my opinion T20 does not harm cricketing skills in any means. In the other hand it increases or helps the player to improve his skills. If you want to argue that playing 5 days continuously shows the real cricketing skills, I won’t go for it. Today in this busy world, who gets 5 days to see the result of the match? And most of them end with ties. So in this fast moving world a short format of this wonderful game is needed, which is T20. People can enjoy the match and there is more fun than any Test Match. It hardly takes 3-4 hours to come out the winner.
Let me put some differences between Test Match and T20. Test matches are well exhausted and day long. Players gets tea-lunch-tea breaks but how will the spectators pass the time? In test match, we do not have any kind of pressure. We can bat as long as we can. Brian Lara played 4 days continuously. So it was just a batsman and 11 fielders match. Boring !!!!!

T20 cricket

In Test match, we had not any target to win. If target is too high, just draw the match. We spend our entire 5 days and no result. Just frustrating. I can bring drawbacks.
On the other hand, T20 is a very intense form the game. It’s very energetic and competitive. Winner will surely come. Again exception is always there. But in T20, spectators are always full of JOSH. In 20-20 matches players carry a huge pressure. From blowing to batting. Only one over can change the mode of the match. So every ball or every over is very crucial in the match. Even spectators also keep their sharp eye on every ball. So we can say that T20 matches teach the players to utilize maximum of a delivery and it also teaches how to play under so much pressure. It improves the blower’s skills because they are very crucial for this format. That’s why IPL now a days are becoming so popular.
So last but not the least, in my opinion Test Matches have become older. In today’s generation there is hardly anyone who wants to spend his 5 days for a single match. So T20 format is the need to keep alive this game. And T20 is not killing the skills, rather it is helping players to learn how to survive under pressure and how to make more and more runs. If a player neglects T20, I am sure that he will not stand in any ground after 5 years because after 5 years we will hardly see any Test Series. There is rule by ICC otherwise no country would like to sponsor any test series. Test Series do not get live spectators as well as TV spectators. So it is a huge loss.

Should Politicians Have a Minimum Qualification – Group Discussion

Today I was reading some articles or news in Yahoo.in. The title was “How educated are our Bollywood celebrities? – Yahoo! OMG! India”. I was moving around the slideshow, then the thought came into my mind about the “Education or Qualification of our Ministers”, who ultimately run the system. If a celebrity or say actor is 5th grade pass but good in acting that fair or acceptable but if a politician is 5th grade pass and he is ruling the country then we can dream what our future gonna be. So I decided this topic for Group Discussion.
Politics
Today, our group discussion topic is “Educational qualification for Politicians” or “Should there be minimum education qualifications for politicians”. Yes of course. I want to speak in favor of this topic. First thing, India is world’s 4th largest economy and every country keeps its eye on our development. Last decade we had witnessed a growth rate of 8% annually, which really surprised the world. We have the world’s best IT infrastructure, Agricultural Land and Natural Resources. But all are run and controlled by Government of India.
If GOI has such a huge responsibility then why should not be there any qualification for them? If a 5th grade pass politician becomes PM or FM, then what kind of decision he can make? Similarly a person having no knowledge about the Monetary Policy or Foreign Exchange becomes our FM and rule the country. A person having no knowledge about Indian People, Indian History, Indian Cultural and Indian States is going to become our PM. We should acknowledge the responsibility of these positions.
To being a peon of a Government Institution we need 10th or 12th class pass student but to rule or run this country we do not have minimum qualification. In our very first class of Organization Behavior, we were being tought about the qualification of a Manager. We were told that to become a Manger we should become a Good Leader, Speaker, Decision Taker or Maker, Good Knowledge about the subject etc. I do not see any kind of these qualities in few of our ministers, yet they occupy some top most position in our system. If President of India asks me to suggest, what I can do with this system I would like to suggest these points.
1. First there should be minimum qualification of Under Graduation for being a minister at Center.
2. To become a FM, the person should posse the necessary knowledge about IMF, FC, World Bank, Monetary Policy etc. Similarly, the become Home Minister, the person should have some kind of specific knowledge about the country. This rule can be applied to every minister.
3. Before taking oath of becoming a minister there should be 6 month training like we are having of IAS, IPS officers. In that training, the candidates should be trained about Indian Policy, Future Plans, Real Ground, Truth about Indian people, the condition of our basic infrastructure, why people have selected the person, what are their responsibility, what if they do corruption in the system, what if they do their duties honestly etc. Basically they should be taught about their responsibility. In this way, a faith towards democracy would become stronger. Candidates would understand their duties and will attempt to work for the people.
Why a soldier is always ready to die for this country: Because he is being well trained. He has been taught a lesson to protect the nation or to obey the order at any cost. He takes the bullet without a second thought, then why could not our politician do their jobs honestly.
4. There should be a public debate between the leaders so that people can know that their leader would like to do when a situation comes. Yes ofcourse we can’t organize public debate for every post but at least for the Core Committee like for PM, CM, FM, DM, HM, MHRD.
At last I want to conclude with my final words that few born with leadership quality like our freedom fighters had but now in this world where money speaks no one can remain untouched with a fact that is corruption. So to avoid this and to give our country into good hands, above practices should or must be regulated by Government of India.

How to deal with Petrol Price Hike – Group Discussion

Today Group discussion topic is “How to control or deal with High Oil Price” or “What we can do to control high oil price”. As we can see that Oil Price is hiking frequently. I can remember that when I was in 10th class, we could get Petrol in just 40 INR but now it is more than 70 INR. In other words prices for every Petroleum Products are touching the sky. But Petrol and Diesel are very essential for our daily life. We have to purchase Petrol or diesel, whatever price we have to pay. Actually India does not have that kind of huge Petroleum Resources that UAE or Middle East Countries have. We produce only 5% of total demand. Rest of it, we have to import from other countries like Iran, UAE. So we have to pay a huge amount to those countries. Of course Government could give subsidy to these products but Government can bear a debt to a limit. Above that we the people have to pay. Though, we can minimize the utilization of Petrol.

Petrol Price

Here I am putting some points or suggestions which we can adopt to get rid of this Petrol Hike.

1. Use Public Transportation as much we can: This is the cheapest method to avoid petrol hike. Yes of course, when petrol price will rise, fair will also rise but in small amount. We can use Metro, Bus or Public Auto instead of using private bike or car.
2. Use Cycle: Now a days it has become a fashion for college students to have a bike. They get money from parents so they are not aware of the real price. Instead of keeping bike, students should rise cycle. In foreign countries we can frequently find people riding cycle on the road. We can see women as well as old people riding cycle. So this is beneficial to health and can save our petrol price.
3. Use battery or electricity operated cars: Now Auto Mobiles companies are spending a huge amount or their R&D Department to make these kind of cars. Many companies have come up with their model. In India Mahindra and Reva did collaboration and come up with ‘e20’, which runs on electricity. Similarly Tata has done with some foreign countries. So in this way we can minimize the use of Petrol and can save our environment.

National Food Security Bill – Group Discussion

Today Group Discussion topic is “Nation Food Security Bill / Ordinance”. It is among a hot topic that is being discussed in the Parliament and outside the Parliament very oftenly. Congress leaders want to bring this Food Security Bill to the Indian Poor People so that everyone could access food cheaply.
I want to talk against the topic. Let’s start with the Government Data. It says that Poor people can survive or lives their day with 27 Rs only. Don’t you think that even a beggar can earn 27 Rs a day? If so , then why food security bill. If a beggar can have food and can live happily then for whom Congress is demanding Food Security Bill. If Food Security Bill is passed then there would be an extra burden on Budget. I have read somewhere that after Food Bill passes, subsidies on various things would be increased by 30, 000 Crore Rs which a huge amount. It is totally wastage of money. Congress is playing a vote bank politics. We the normal people do not have any direct gain from this kind of scheme. Let me throw an example. In recent days we have seen what Government has done this Mid-Day Meal Program in school. More than 25 children died. Why? The big reason behind is the quality of food. I belong to a village in Bihar, and I can see these things around my village. The quality of rice or paddy, pulse or oil is very poor which are being distributed among the poor people. Another reason we can have is Poor Public Distribution System and Corruption.

Food Security Bill - Deepesh Singh

So in my opinion Food Security Bill is nothing than wastage of money or vote bank politics. Government should utilize this amount of village or rural development program like accessing pure drinking water, better infrastructure and hospital, roads and schools. Pregnant women or small children are having rice and pulse from “Aagan Badi”. So in my opinion if we increase or improve that facility only, we can have better result. This would be less costly than approving a new scheme.
