Cricket Australia (CA) is planning to establish specific Pakistan fan zones during the T20I and ODI series against Pakistan in November. This initiative is in line with CA’s Multicultural Action Plan, which is designed to promote inclusivity and enhance the overall experience for cricket fans from diverse backgrounds.
The Pakistan team is scheduled to kick off the white-ball series with an ODI match on November 4 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). They are set to compete in three ODIs and three T20Is against the Australian team.
CA has arranged designated seating areas for Pakistani fans at all six venues. These areas will include prayer spaces and a variety of halal food options to ensure that fans can enjoy the matches comfortably while respecting cultural considerations.
Previously, CA had established India fan zones for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy at all five venues, including MCG and SCG, to provide Indian fans with a memorable experience. Fans are encouraged to wear blue attire and bring traditional instruments.
Details regarding ticket sales for the Pakistan and India fan zones will be announced by CA next week.
