Nida Dar, the captain of the Pakistan women’s team, has now claimed the title of the highest wicket-taker in T20 Internationals after securing her 137th wicket during the second match against England in Northampton. This achievement surpasses Australia’s Megan Schutt, who has 136 wickets to her credit. Dar accomplished this milestone in her 141st innings, where she managed to take two wickets. Among the top 20 leading wicket-takers in women’s T20I, the only other Pakistani player is Sana Mir, who holds the 19th spot with 89 wickets in 105 innings.

Nida Dar, with a score of 137, was the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in the series. Megan Schutt, with 136 runs, was the highest scorer for Australia, followed closely by Ellyse Perry with 126 runs. Anisa Mohammed from the West Indies scored 125 runs, while Shabnim Ismail from South Africa scored 123 runs.
In the second T20I match, England emerged victorious against Pakistan, securing a 2-0 series win. Opting to bat first, the hosts managed to score 144-6, thanks to notable contributions from Maia Bouchier (30), Alice Capsey (31), and Nat Sciver-Brunt (31). Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Nida Dar, who took 2 wickets for 33 runs in her four overs. Waheeda Akhtar, Diana Baig, and Fatima Sana also chipped in with a wicket each.
During the chase, Pakistan struggled and were eventually bowled out for 79 runs in 15.5 overs, falling short of their target by 65 runs. England’s spinners wreaked havoc on Pakistan’s batting lineup, with Sophie Ecclestone taking three wickets for 11 runs, Alice Capsey claiming two wickets for four runs, and Sarah Glenn also picking up two wickets for 10 runs.
Alice Capsey was named the player of the match for her impressive performance with both bat and ball.
