Rank 1: Umano: Listen to Articles – This is recently launched app not too old but it is very lovable and useful app. Unlike old app, this app has brought a new feature. Yes new feature that is ‘Listen to your news channels.’ This App provides various other features like offline downloading, making own list and adding new features as well and it is absolutely free. So what are you waiting for Download it and give a try.
Rank 2: Google Play Newsstand – I think very less people know about this app. In my mobile it came per-installed but you can download it for free. What an amazing app. Download it and browse yourself. You would surely fall in love with this app. Beautiful design, font and background. You can create your own list and can check individually. You can also add news channel rss feeds. You can browse TOI, NDTV, Jagran all in a single app. I love it and you would surely.
Rank 3: NewsHunt : India News – This is a completely desi app. It is having more than 40 channels and counting. The most important thing is that you can read news in local languages as well. Like if someone belongs to Kolkata, she can access Bengali channel where as a Punjabi guy can read Punjabi channel. Apart from this, it also provides free ebooks etc. Download it and have a look.
Rank 4: NDTV Offical – This is an official app from NDTV.com. I personally prefer this news app because its contents are well managed, all have creditable sources and limited biased news. It also provides you to select language. You can select your favorite topics like business, technology, sports and can read articles from that section only. Recently they have updated offline reading feature.
Rank 5: The Times of India – Times of India is the top English daily news paper in the world. It have many sister websites also. I like this app and articles but I feel that they need to pay attention to various subjects like font size, images, alignment, design but still all articles are quality. They keep a balance between national and international so you can try it.
Apart from this I have India Today, Aaj Tak, Firstpost and BBC. I don’t like ‘The Hindu’ because they prefer South Indian news and we hardly see international articles. There are many other apps as well. If you want to have international news apps you can go for CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera etc. You can also install Discovery, Geography etc. So this is my list accordingly to my knowledge, experience and wisdom. You might have another list. Please share your like, dislike via comment box. I would love to read them.
